The Tobacco, Stillwater and Kootenai Rivers are the destination for kayak and smaller personal water crafts. The Rapids really roar during the spring run off and provide some amazing adventures.
With so many bodies of water in Lincoln county, you can find fishing at every turn. If you enjoy being out on the larger bodies of water, Lake Koocanusa is your game with several species of Trout, Kokanee Salmon and Burbot.
If you prefer fly fishing or stream fishing, The Tobacco and Kootenai Rivers are great destinations. With so many bodies of water in the area, you can find fishing everywhere you look.
Don't forget in September, the Tobacco River turns Red with the run of Kokanee salmon. Snagging season begins September 15th of every year.
